Community Groups at Fort Myers Community Church exist to create spaces where lives are shaped by the gospel through intentional, relational discipleship. We believe transformation does not happen primarily in rows, but in circles. It happens around tables, in living rooms, over open Bibles and honest conversations, as ordinary people follow Jesus together.
The table is more than furniture. It is a place of belonging. It is where strangers become family, questions are welcomed, burdens are shared, and grace is practiced. Just as Jesus did His most meaningful ministry around tables, we believe disciples are formed when God’s Word and God’s people come together in everyday life.
At the heart of our Community Groups is a simple conviction: disciple-making is relational. We are not gathering to consume content, but to be formed by Christ. Each group is built around Scripture, prayer, and conversation that invites participation, not performance. Leaders facilitate gospel-centered dialogue that helps people move from information to transformation, from knowing about Jesus to walking with Him.
Community Groups are also places of care and mission. As we grow together, we learn to carry one another’s joys and sorrows, to speak truth in love, and to live sent into our neighborhoods and workplaces. The table prepares us for the world. What happens in community fuels how we love, serve, and make disciples beyond it.
Our vision is to see every person at FMCC known, loved, and discipled within biblical community. We desire groups that multiply, not out of pressure, but out of healthy growth. As people are shaped by the gospel, they naturally invite others to pull up a chair and experience the grace of Jesus.
Community Groups at FMCC are not a program to attend, but a family to belong to. This is where faith is practiced, disciples are made, and the love of Christ takes on flesh and bone around the table.
